Brawny. Beefy. Burly. 51 pounds -- Wide, medium sized, and compact with short legs. Body and head are massive with extra skin on both the skull and forehead falling in folds with correct, fitting, fat Nose Rope. Wide chested and well-developed. Proper, big “brickish” head and heavy bones. Loose skin, thick and wrinkly. Cheeks extend to the sides of the eyes, with thick chops. Massive low slung chest with barrel rib cage. Stout as an oak front leg bones. Muzzle is wide, short and pug with a broad, deep stop. Black nose is broad with large nostrils. Dark eyes are deep set and clear. Rose ears are small, thin and set high on the head. Jaws are massive, very broad, and square with hanging upper lips. Teeth have the required under bite. Tail is screwed and carried low. Short, flat Brindle coat is straight, smooth and glossy. He is attentive, gallant, devoted, loyal, spirited, fierce in appearance; but very affectionate, dignified, and caring. Courageous, but never vicious or aggressive.
